Crime Statistics

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Information & Analysis provides crime statistics of counties in Wisconsin. In 2019, Green County had a total number of 275 crimes reported, including 20 violent crimes and 255 property crimes. The violent crimes reported were eight rapes and 12 aggravated assaults. Whereas property crimes reported were 22 burglaries, 222 larcenies, and 11 motor vehicle thefts. There was no reported incident of murder and arson.

The 2019 total crime statistics represent a massive decline in crime figures for over five years. Between 2015 and 2019, there was a decline in six out of eight major crimes. Murder, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, and arson rates decreased by 100%, 100%, 45%, 76%, 28%, and 100%, respectively. Rape and motor vehicle theft rates increased by 33% and 10%, respectively. There was no reported incident of murder.
